LAONN STUDIO

 

LAONN STUDIO, that's us: Jeesun Han und Jowon Park.
We are from South Korea and moved to Hamburg, Germany, in 2007 in order to study product and textile design.
 

While studying we experimented with all kinds of materials. This is how we came to love the smell, feel and numerous application possibilities of leather, which finally became the main subject of our studies. The manifold uses of leather hence became our passion.
 

Our first handbag was still created on our kitchen table. This was followed by a workbench that we shared. Since 2017 we have had a beautiful leather workshop and in 2024 we opened our shop and workshop in Hamburg's city center.
 

"Laonn" is Korean and means "happy, joyful".
This describes us and our work approach perfectly: our craft makes us happy and we show that in our joyful designs. And of course we love to see our customers to be happy with their hand sewn, long-lasting pieces of LAONN.
